Blade Finish : |
Stonewashed ![Stonewashing creates a distressed look on the knife blade by literally distressing the blade using friction. The technique comes from its name, as it involves running a knife blade through the dryer with small stones and a lubricant to create abrasions on the face of the blade. A very positive benefit of stonewashed blades/handles is that they are low maintenance and preserve their original look overtime; the stonewashed finish hides the scratches that can occur with use over time.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |

Lock Type : |
Frame-Lock ![A framelock (also frame lock) is a special type of locking mechanism used in one-handed knives. Generally considered to be more sturdy & reliable than a linerlock, the general open and close methods don't vary much; the only real difference between the two variations is that with a liner lock as the blade opens a separate liner engages to lock the blade, however in a frame lock a whole portion of the frame engages to lock the blade. Detailed description: In almost every frame lock, a detent ball engages with a hole in the base of the blade to keep it closed, as well as providing tension for a snappy opening. A stop pin mounted above and forward of the pivot locates the blade's end position when opened, also helping to eliminate wear on the lock bar.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |

Pivot Assembly : |
Ball Bearings ![Ball Bearings allow for extremely smooth operation when deploying & closing a blade. They feature ball bearing washers that allow the blade to open smoothly around the pivot point with the help of a blade flipper on the tang of the knife. They work in an almost identical way to spring assisted knives, except there are no springs! This makes blade deployment extremely fast & is now, generally speaking, the most widespread popular method used by most knifemakers in the world today.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |
Blade Material : |
D2 ![D2 tool steel is a high carbon and high chromium-based grade that features excellent machinability and wear-resistance. This grade has maximum toughness at high hardness in sections of all sizes. It is heat treatable and will offer a hardness in the range 55-62 HRC, and is machinable in the annealed condition. D2 steel shows little distortion on correct hardening. D2 is a happy medium between stainless and high carbon steels. It's easy to work and looks nice, but because it's air-hardened steel you can't differentially temper the blade like other High Carbon Steels. It can also be difficult to sharpen. D2 steel create excellent resistance to wear from sliding contact with other metal or abrasive materials. D2 is a premium steel of a special segment, which is appreciated by many experts in this field. The alloy has a high level of resistance to corrosion, wear, as well as all kinds of loads and mechanical stress. This steel has a high wear resistance and creates a tough knife that holds an edge.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |
Blade Treatment : |
Heat Treated ![Heat treating is a part of the knife making process that is designed to help harden the steel of the blade for use. Heat treating can be accomplished in four steps: normalize, quench, temper, and sand. Water is one of the most efficient quenching media where maximum hardness is desired, but there is a small chance that it may cause distortion and tiny cracking. When hardness can be sacrificed, mineral oils are often used. If you don't heat treat a blade the blade will not remain sharp or straight. It is prone to chipping and bending. Essentially, you'll have a knife-shaped metal piece. Even if the blade steel is good, it is useless until it is hardened.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |
Handle Material : |
[Stainless] Steel , FRN (Fiberglass-Reinforced Nylon) ![A nylon polymer is mixed with glass fiber and then injection molded into formed and textured lightweight high-strength knife handles. "FRN" (fiberglass-reinforced nylon), sometimes called "GFN" (glass-filled nylon), is a high-strength plastic especially well-suited to the handles of folding knives. Specifically, FRN is a nylon polymer mixed with glass fiber and then injection-molded into the desired shape. It's available in a variety of colors and textures.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |

Handle Coating : |
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) ![PVD coating is a finishing method for knife blades that increases their resistance to wear and tear. PVD is short for physical vapor deposition. It is a collective term for a group of coating methods in which the basic material is made gaseous. Unlike chemical vapor deposition, this process is physical. PVD can provide a lifetime of protection from daily cleaning, which adds durability and value to the Knife. Traditional electroplating of brass, nickel, and gold finishes require a clear coat that degrade with time and can easily tarnish or corrode. PVD requires no clear top coats that fade or dull. Applying this thin layer of PVD or DLC coatings to knife components adds hardness to the entire surface, protecting parts from scratches and other forms of wear.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |

Frame/Liner Material : |
[Stainless] Steel ![Like all other kinds of steel, stainless steel is made primarily from iron and carbon in a two-step process. What makes stainless steel different is the addition of chromium (Cr) and other alloying elements such as nickel (Ni) to create a corrosion-resistant product. It's worth noting that over time and if not maintained correctly, rust can and will develop on stainless steel. Stainless steel is an extremely tough and highly durable material with high impact resistance. Part of the reason for this is that stainless steel has low susceptibility to brittleness at high and low temperatures. It has a design life expectancy of over fifty years.](https://duncansgunmakers.co.uk/catalog/media/info_icon.png) |

Description:
The Kershaw Endgame 2095 is a cool EDC pocket knife. You immediately notice the different colours and the small details. With copper-coloured accents, some texture, additional grooves: completely decorated.
But this is not all: the Endgame is not only amazing to look at. It is also great to use. You quickly open this knife with the flipper. Because of the ball bearings it moves really well. A solid framelock locks the blade when opened to make sure it won't accidentally close. A cleverly placed overlay makes sure the lock won't overstretch and will function for years to come.
The blade is made from D2 steel. A tough and rock-solid type of steel that retains its sharpness well. The only thing you need to take into account is that D2 steel is not completely stainless. After coming into contact with moisture, acids and salts you need to clean and dry it.
