Description:
The CRKT BT Fighter Compact is a cool EDC pocket knife, designed by Brian Tighe. This designer is known for his eccentric designs. You also see these design elements when you look at the BT Fighter. From the finger grooves and the wide end of the handle, to the use of the button lock and the textures on the surface.
On photographs this knife might look massive because of the large amount of details on the handle. It is, however, a modest knife with a 7.3 cm blade. As such it is a nice average-sized knife for EDC-use. It fits well in your pocket but also offers enough blade to easy get to work.
There are two ways to open the CRKT BT Fighter: with the flipper and the thumb stud. Because of the IKBS ball bearings the knife moves smoothly. Combined with the button lock this ensures a high fidget factor. It is fun to play with.
The blade is made from 8Cr13CoMov steel: simple, stainless, tough and easy to sharpen. Simply good for a knife like this. The handle is made from FRN. A glass reinforced plastic that is very light but also very strong. To finish the whole the BT Fighter Compact is enhanced with a typical Tighe-clip. The Y-shaped clip is enhanced with a ceramic ball that ensures it easily slides over the edge of your pocket, without breaking it.
