Description:
The Kershaw CQC-6K is a cool hunting knife, designed by Ernest Emerson. He first designed the custom Emerson Rendezvous, on which the CQC-6K is based. Originally designed as a hunting knife, but in reality also great for daily use.
Of course the Kershaw CQC-6K is enhanced with the characterizing Wave Opening Feature. This feature enables you to open the knife when you take it from your pocket. Simply pull the knife back to make sure the hook on the spine of the blade gets caught behind the edge of your pocket and the knife will open on its own. You can, of course, also easily open the blade with one hand with the thumb disc.
The curve towards the tip of the blade and the relatively blunt top are perfect when gutting game. But also during daily use the CQC-6K will come in handy. Because of the hollow grind this knife is namely amazing to use.
The handle on the presentation side is enhanced with G10. The lock side is made from stainless steel. Here you will also find the steel frame lock that will keep the blade in place. This D2 edition has a blade made from D2 steel. This is a tough type of steel that retains it sharpness well. An excellent option for a knife in this price range. Tip: D2 is not completely stainless. Acids, salt and moisture could cause rust or discolouration in time. As such you should always clean it after use and occasionally add a couple drops of oil to the blade.
