Description:
The Spyderco Subvert C239CFP is a limited Sprint-Run edition of the Subvert. The Subvert was designed by Nati Amor, an Israeli goldsmith and world-renowned knife maker. As such, the Subvert is directly inspired by the Sabotage; one of his most popular handmade knives famous for its dramatic blade shape.
The blade is made of CPM 20CV steel. It's a strong steel that can take a beating and holds its sharpness just a little better than CPM S30V. The handle is made of chic carbon fibre. Very neat! The titanium liners are skeletonised, meaning the titanium features milled-out holes. As a result, Spyderco has kept the Subvert relatively lightweight, despite its large size. The titanium has a dark finish that blends nicely with the carbon fibre. The hinge screw has a nice dark finish too. A special detail is that the handle is tapered at the hinge screw. This means that the handle is thicker at the pocket clip than at the hinge screw. As a result, the knife feels great in hand.
With the Subvert, Spyderco clearly shows that they are capable of producing very high-quality and exceptional pocket knives.
