 Description:

The Böker Plus Urd XL is an extra-large version of the Böker Urd, designed by Dirk Hofmeister of Midgards-Messer. The legendary Asgard opened its gates especially for Böker and Dirk Hofmeister of Midgards-Messer. This knife comes straight from the world of gods, glorious warriors and passionate craftsmanship. This knife is a strong fixed knife, made to carry around your neck with a sleak kydex sheath.

Remarkable about the Urd is the handle. At first glance it might look a little strange. However, once you hold it you notice how ingenious this design is. Your fingers automatically fall into the grooves of the handle. You place your thumb on top of the blade in the cut-out. The knife will now properly be secured in hand and won't go anywhere. As a result you can safely use the Urd despite its size.

The cleaver-style blade of the Urd is made from a 5.6 mm thick piece of D2-steel. This is a type of tool steel that is similar to stainless steel but can stain during long-term exposure to acids. The handle is made from black and red G10, enhanced with a light texture for additional grip.

The Urd is a robust neck knife, made to be used. So if you are looking for a strong neck knife that can definitely handle its own, the Urd is a great choice!
