The coffin-shaped handle scales are made from semi-transparent Ultem, a high-performance polyetherimide amorphous thermoplastic known for its exceptional heat resistance, high strength, rigidity, and chemical resistance. The crisp pyramid texture adds grip without feeling fussy. It sits comfortably in the hand and looks unlike anything else in your pocket. The drop-point blade is MagnaCut, heat treated to around 61–62 HRC, chosen for its excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance and easy maintenance. A decorative ricasso adds a touch of refinement without getting in the way of work.
This is a slip-joint with a 90-degree stop, opening via a traditional nail nick. A deep-carry, tip-up stainless steel clip keeps things discreet.
Böker Coffin materials
The droppoint blade made from Magnacut steel has a hardness of no less than 63 HRC! This steel is a stainless type of tool steel, with a toughness and sharpness retention comparable to carbon steels such as CPM-CruWear, CPM-4V and Vanadis 4. The corrosion resistance of MagnaCut steel is also sublime.
If needed, you can move the deep-carry pocket clip to the other side of the handle. This allows you to comfortably carry the knife on either your left or your right side.
