We haven't made many changes to the blade, we feel as though we got this right first time. The blade profile was shaped for optimal maneuverability, with a modified drop-point geometry that balances piercing power with slicing efficiency, allowing for controlled cuts without unintended slips. At the core is Japanese VG-10 stainless steel from Takefu Special Steel Co., a benchmark alloy celebrated since the 1960s for its high-carbon composition (approximately 1% carbon) blended with 15% chromium and cobalt additions. This yields superior hardness (59-61 HRC), extraordinary edge retention that endures heavy abuse, and super corrosion resistance, often enhanced by lamination for added toughness and maintenance ease; making it a favorite among professionals for blades that stay sharp longer than conventional steels.
Additional refinements include a bead-blasted pocket clip for a premium, scratch-resistant finish and higher-quality, more flush torx screws for improved durability and aesthetics.
