The Böker Club Knife Burlap Micarta is a classic pocket knife. Perhaps the knife you see in your mind when you think of a generic classic pocket knife. That was how they were produced in the past! In the United States they also call this a 'Boy scout knife'. A knife you open with two hands enhanced with a slipjoint. Nothing more, nothing less. But really cool!
The blade is made from O1. Not stainless, but like how they used to make it. Even easier to sharpen razor-sharp, which is a great advantage. Carbon steel also forms a patina in time. It changes colour because of fruit acids and moisture. That is why a couple drops of oil once in a while will keep it in great shape. Böker enhanced the blade with a coarse, etched stonewashed finish.
The handle is made from stunning burlap micarta. A strong composite material made from burlap and synthetic resin. A Böker shield with Baumwerk logo finishes the whole.
You open this knife with two hands and when opened the slipjoint makes sure the knife doesn't close when you don't want it to. Please note: it doesn't completely lock the blade like a backlock!
