Looking to sell your used crossbow? We have a wide range of customers and an active website to help you advertise.

All adverts on social media, and marketplaces such as amazon or ebay are prohibited, so we will be your go-to platform for selling.

All of our communication with potential buyers will be done via Whatsapp.

If you would like to use us, it's a £25 flat charge until the crossbow is sold with no further fees. Any potential buyers will be forwarded to your whatsapp number.

Details of potential buyers will contact you directly, we ask that you inform us when your used crossbow is sold.

We do not stock items on this page, just because it's on this page, does not mean it is still available.

1. All adverts must be approved by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd.
2. Duncans Gunmakers Ltd will not be held responsible for advert content or image accuracy/inaccuracies. We will do our best to manage scammers and fraudulent listings, but ultimately it is up to you upon doing the trade, to make sure that the seller or buyer is legitimate.

3. The £25.00 advert fee is non-refundable
4. It is the sellers responsible to confirm the buyer is legally able to purchase their item (You can, and will be held legally responsible).
5. All descriptions must be truthful and honest.
6. Duncans Gunmakers Ltd reserve the right to delete any advert we believe to be fraudulent (no refund given).
7. It is the sellers responsibility to collect payment and dispatch the purchased item.
8. Duncans Gunmakers Ltd can not be held responsible for non payment by the buyer, all transactions are between buyer and seller, we are simply a platform for advertising.
9. Duncans Gunmakers Ltd cannot be held responsible for non delivery of purchased items.
10. It is the sellers responsibility to inform Duncans Gunmakers Ltd that the item is sold.
11. Duncans Gunmakers Ltd will pass on all enquiries, it is the sellers responsibility to contact potential buyers.
12. We reserve the right to refuse or remove an advert with no explanation required.
13. Only the ORIGINAL buyer can receive a refund for selling a crossbow purchased from Duncans Gunmakers Ltd.
14. Duncans Gunmakers Ltd will not accept any liability what so ever for any injuries or death to anyone regarding the incorrect use of any of the products sold. It is the sole responsibility of the person or persons using any of our products, to insure that they have read the instruction manual and that all safety procedures are adhered to at all times.

Crossbow Legislation

Source:  Act 2003

Section 1 - (Sale): It is an offence for any person to sell or let on hire a crossbow or part there of to a person under the age of 18.

Section 2 - (Purchase): It is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy or hire a crossbow or part there of.

Section 3 - (Possession): It is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to have a crossbow with them which is capable of discharging a missile, or parts of a crossbow which together can be assembled to form a crossbow capable of discharging a missile.

Hunting with a crossbow is illegal in the UK.

Be sensible when using and transporting, it is not illegal to own one but they should not be carried in public and only used on private land. Carrying a crossbow in public carries a 4 year prison sentence. Respect should be given at all times as it can be lethal if used incorrectly. Be very careful where you shoot and ensure there is plenty of room beyond where you are aiming in case you miss, with an extremely strong, sturdy backstop. It is recommended that you only use targets approved for your particular crossbow.
