Description:
The Kershaw Natrix 7007 is a compact and cool EDC pocket knife. The design is based on the legendary Zero Tolerance 0777. Ever since its release the Kershaw Natrix caused a lot of commotion. A lot has been written about it. What remains a fact, however, is that the Natrix is an amazing pocket knife, for an amazing price.
The wavy lines of the 0777 are immediately recognizable. The round groove in the blade makes it look really dynamic. The lines of the handle nicely fit the blade and the proportions are spot on.
You open this knife with the flipper. When opened the blade is kept in place by the Sub-Framelock. This is a version of the regular frame lock where the lockbar is placed in the handle. KAI USA, the mother company of Zero Tolerance and Kershaw has a patent on this feature.
The handle is made from G10. The grey spring of the Sub-Framelock is in nice contrast with the G10. The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV-steel. This is a stainless type of steel that is easy to sharpen. Because of the stonewashed finish you hardly see any traces of use.
Because of its background and appealing design the Kershaw Natrix is a pocket knife that belongs in every pocket knife collection. Because of the story, but also to be used. That is, in the end, what the knife is meant for.
