 Description:

The Böker Manufaktur Abalone 140203 is a top-quality straight razor. Böker has been producing straight razors for over a hundred years and has an excellent reputation in this field. This straight razor is made in the Böker workshop in Solingen, Germany.

The French tip and relatively short blade length makes it perfect when following curves and edges. The handle is made from black mother of pearl. Solidified in between layers of plastic, making the mother of pearl look even more amazing.

This straight razor has an extra hollow grind with a ridge. The extra hollow grind gives you an extremely thin edge which is also a little flexible. This razor is amazing to work with but perhaps not as suited for heavy beard growth. The ridge ensures that the spine of the blade is thick enough to be blocked by the handle. In addition, the spine provides support when determining the right sharpening angle while stropping and sharpening.

Solingen 1.2510 carbon steel

Böker used 1.2510 carbon steel for this straight razor. Even though the technical number 1.2510 means little to most, many have heard of the famous O1 steel. After sharpening it is razor-sharp which leaves you with even softer and more comfortable results.

Böker made sure that this straight razor is ready to be used as it is delivered to your doorstep. This means that it was sharpened razor-sharp and stropped: you can immediately get to work.
