Description:

The Rough Ryder Mini Canoe Amber Jigged Bone is a cool, traditional pocket knife. Characterizing for the Canoe is that the bolsters protrude a little. As such the sharp edges at the tang of the blades is nicely covered when the knife is closed. This model is enhanced with two pen blades. You open both with two hands and a slipjoint prevents unintentional closing, even though it won't completely lock the blades. As such you can legally carry this pocket knife in many places in Europe.

440A is a fine, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

The handle is made from Amber Bone. This is cow bone that is enhanced with a texture and then coloured. This material has been used for over 100 years for knife handles and has become a traditional on its own. Bone, of course, is a natural material. As such small differences in terms of colour and shape, or any other small imperfections may occur.

About Rough Ryder Knives

Rough Ryder Knives is a brand with a rich history. For over 25 years this brand is known for its excellent price-quality ratio. Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.

Tip: For traditional multi-blade knives, the specifications are based on the largest blade.
