Hogue Knives and Allen Elishewitz joined forces to produce these tough folding knives. The are two versions one with a 10.2cm (4") blade and one with a 89cm (3.5"). Both are made from 154CM stainless steel with a stonewash finish and ambidextrous thumb studs. The blades lock into place with a linerlock operated by a button next to the pivot. There is also a secondary slide lock which prevents the button being accidentally pressed.
The handle is made from "G-mascus" which is an amalgamated, layered material made up of G10 of different colours. These knives are not only efficient tools but collectors items too.
Hogue Manual folders represent the culmination of their capabilities and experience resulting in a superior balance of fit, finish and function. They have been engineered from the ground up to tackle any cutting tasks you put them to.
All of the materials are sourced in the USA. The CPM 154 stainless steel blade is cryogenically heat treated to a Rockwell of 57-59 then hand honed to a razor-sharp edge. The handles are offered in a high-quality material that offers exceptional wear resistance and beauty. Each grip is carefully sculpted for outstanding ergonomics, ensuring that your Hogue knife is comfortable and secure in use.
When deployed Hogue folders are held open with a tough, yet smooth operating button lock. Although a capable mechanism on its own, the button lock is backed up with an additional manual safety that locks the knife open for peace of mind during harder use. Beneath the scales, the button lock is mounted into an innovative, recessed stainless steel "bolster plate" to ensure rigidity and long wear. The robust, custom made hardware on all moving parts is oversized and heat treated. Be confident that every aspect of your Hogue folding knife has been refined to offer the best possible longevity and performance.
