Description:
The Medford Praetorian Slim is a very slim version of the most famous pocket knife produced by Medford Knives. You can clearly see the characteristic shapes of the Praetorian, but in a more EDC-friendly edition. 100% made in the United States, from American materials, by a veteran-run company. This version features a stonewashed handle to help hide wear over time, and an ultra tough PVD coated blade, hardware and pocket clip.
Blade Made of CPM S35VN Steel
The blade of this Medford Praetorian is made of CPM S35VN steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S35VN retains its sharpness well, is pretty tough and very corrosion resistant.
Titanium Back Handle
The handle is made of solid titanium and measures 11.7 cm in length. Titanium is a fantastic high-tech material. It is an excellent choice for the handle of a pocket knife for several reasons: titanium is very strong, lightweight and it is flexible. Moreover, titanium can be machined very precisely and a wide range of different finishes are possible. To be exact, the handle is made of a titanium alloy. Small amounts of aluminium and vanadium are added to pure titanium to make it even more suitable for use as a pocket knife handle.
About Medford Knives
Medford Knives are impressive, sturdy, and above all, unique. The brand was founded by knifemaker Greg Medford, who started Medford Knife & Tool with the aim of creating honest, top-quality knives. He oversees the entire production process in-house. Every component of a Medford folding knife is made in his own factory in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. All blades are hollow-ground by hand by Medford and his skilled craftsmen—something very few manufacturers do. Medford even refers to his production method as 'Hand Tech.'
Each Medford knife is handcrafted by talented knifemakers, meaning individual differences occur, making every knife one of a kind. Medford's lead times are around a year. However, if a knife is listed as in stock on our website, that means we have it in stock; ready to ship. Be quick—new stock can take a long time to arrive!
