[Fox Knives] Afghanistan Memorial Knife, DLC N690, Made in Italy

The Fox Knives Afghanistan Memorial Knife makes a great all-round camping knife, designed by Hill Knives Holland. Specifically designed in honour of the ISAF-mission in Afghanistan. Hill knives always produced a lot of knives for Dutch soldiers. It is therefore not that surprising that many of them carry this design in their standard gear. This version made by Fox has made the design available to all.

Characteristic for the Hill Knives knives is the grind. In Rotterdam each knife is enhanced with a hollow-grind, with a typical 'plunge line'. This is the transition from a flat blade to the grind. The way it moves up with a slight curve is very recognizable. The handle of this Hill design is also one you will quickly recognize. Sleek and functional. But definitely not easy! Because of the clever curve different-sized hands will easily fit around the handle, even while wearing gloves.

The Austrian Böhler N690Co steel was chosen for the blade. It is incredibly stainless and retains its sharpness well. To prevent reflections and rust it is enhanced with a matt-black coating. The handle is made from micarta. Great because it offers you enough grip.

The Fox Hill Knives Afghanistan Memorial Knife comes with a sleek kydex sheath with MOLLE clips. As cherry on top this knife comes with a luxurious display case with ISAF patch.
