Description:
The WE Knife Envisage is a cool EDC pocket knife designed by Geoff Blauvelt, also known as Tuff Knives. The design is reminiscent of a karambit knife. However, the Envisage features a more versatile drop-point blade.
The Envisage, Hakkapella Damasteel is a nice EDC knife in the colour grey. With its blade length of 6.2 cm, it's a compact pocket knife that effortlessly fits inside your pocket. You can also notice this in the weight of 110 g. You'll barely notice you're carrying it with you!
You quickly open the Envisage with one hand using the frontflipper or the thumb stud. Using a frontflipper takes a bit of practice, but once you've got it down it's a really efficient way to open the blade. Once opened, a sturdy frame lock ensures the blade remains locked in place and won't accidentally close during use.
Blade made of Damasteel
The blade of the WE Knife Envisage is made of Damasteel damascus. This material is truly something special. There are enough manufacturers who make good damascus steel, but the Swedish company Damasteel really takes it to the next level. This is because they use two powder steels for forging the damascus. Powder steels have a very fine grain structure at the microscopic level, ensuring they are harder and that they retain their sharpness for a longer time than conventional types of steel. Damasteel uses two powder steels, RWL34 and PMC27, forged together. Not only does it look incredibly cool, it also stays sharp for a long time and can take a beating. This steel also contains more than 13% chromium. This also makes it very corrosion resistant. Therefore, this steel is not just eye candy, it's also a fantastic practical choice!
Damasteel is based in Söderfors, Sweden. This town has been known for its steel production since 1676. Damasteel builds on this tradition, using state-of-the-art techniques and materials to bring that classic trade into the 21st century.
Titanium handle
The handle of the Envisage is made of titanium and measures 12.5 cm in length. Titanium is a fantastic high-tech material. It is an excellent choice for the handle of a pocket knife for several reasons: titanium is very strong, lightweight and it is flexible. Moreover, titanium can be machined very precisely and a wide range of different finishes are possible. To be exact, the handle is made of a titanium alloy. Small amounts of aluminium and vanadium are added to pure titanium to make it even more suitable for use as a pocket knife handle.
