The Fox Knives Metamorphosis is a knife that radiates individuality and innovation. The idea behind the Fox Metamorphosis came from Gabriele Frati, CEO of Fox Knives. His vision? A luxury pocket knife that is entirely customizable. That's why the knife was designed by Denis Simonutti, the inventor of the Radius lock. This knife first drew attention from the public at the Blade Show 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.

A distinguishing feature of the Metamorphosis is the playful use of contrasts. This is present for every version of the pocket knife. These contrasts can be in colour, texture or choice of material.

Fox Metamorphosis

This version of the Fox Metamorphosis has a sheepsfoot blade made from Damasteel. This is the main manufacturer of high-end damascus steels, located in Sweden. The wavy pattern of this steel is spectacular and makes each knife unique. The bolster follows suit: it is made from Timascus. This is a type of damascus made from two types of titanium, giving a similar pattern, resulting in unique markings for each knife. The handle offers a nice contrast to the front of the knife; the modest PVD-coated titanium handle allows a glimpse through the construction, and a black 3K carbon fiber backspacer. This is a type of carbon fibre with a very high density.

Functionality of the Fox Metamorphosis

You open and lock the pocket knife with the Radius lock, designed by Denis Simonutti. One button to open or close the knife, and to lock it. A revolutionary invention that no other brand has been able to match. A new feature of the Metamorphosis is that the Radius lock has been modified to also allow 'regular' opening of the blade, by means of the flipper. As a result, handling this knife is even quicker than before, without compromising on safety.
