The WE Knife Press Check WE20078A-1 is a beautiful matte black knife that has been very well thought out, making it ideal to carry as an EDC pocket knife. The knife has a sleek design that looks very high-tech. This knife was designed by Allen Elishewitz, designer and maker of custom knives. He has given this knife a modern design, using only the best materials.
WE Knife Press Check Blade
The knife is very precisely put together, because as soon as you open it, you don't just see that this is a high-tech knife - you feel it. Its blade opens smoothly and audibly clicks into place. The blade is made from CPM 20CV steel and has a very sharp grind. The major advantages of this type of steel are that you rarely have to sharpen it and it's also very corrosion-resistant. This particular knife has a modified tanto tip, because the blade has a less intense angle. It gives the blade a subtle look.
The blade is black stonewashed and has ceramic ball bearings. The flipper opens the knife really smoothly. When you open the knife, a frame lock that connects seamlessly to the knife then holds the blade in place. The lock bar is partly hidden behind the G10 scale. However, the end continues perfectly into the bolster. With this knife, you get the convenience of a frame lock, with the looks of a liner lock. Your fingers are therefore always safe when using this knife.
WE Knife Press Check handle
If you look at how the blade sits in the handle when the knife is closed, you can really tell how much thought has gone into this design. The backspacer, which contains the tip of the knife, has been set back slightly. This creates a nice space where the tip of the knife fits precisely. A big benefit of this detail is that the tip of the knife is extra protected.
The handle is entirely made from black titanium and has a textured G10 overlay, which provides extra grip. The clip on the handle is inlaid into it so that it fits snugly. The knife comes with a second clip that you can put on the left side of the handle. Perfect for everyday carry, whichever way you like best.
