The Caetus is a nice EDC pocket knife in the colour black. With its blade length of 8.7 cm, this knife is ideal for easy carrying. When closed, it's only 11.5 cm long, and it weighs 90 g.
Opening the Caetus is incredibly fast thanks to the flipper, which allows for single-handed operation. The pocket knife is equipped with ceramic ball bearings making opening and closing nice and smooth. Once opened, the liner lock ensures that the knife is locked and will not accidentally snap shut.
Damascus blade
The blade of this Caetus is made from damascus steel. It's beautiful and incredibly stylish, but also designed for use. Damascus is created by welding different types of steel together and folding them multiple times, all at very high temperatures and with exceptional craftsmanship. This steel combines ancient techniques with modern skill. The manufacturer doesn’t provide much information about the type of steel, so we can't say with certainty how corrosion-resistant this particular steel is. Therefore, it’s advisable to keep the blade clean and regularly apply a few drops of oil. It wouldn't hurt to apply that piece of advice to your other knives too.
Carbon-fibre handle
The handle of this Caetus is made of carbon fibre, and measures 11.5 cm in length. Carbon fibre is an incredibly strong material. For the handles of pocket knives, carbon fibre sheet material is used. The carbon fibres, often first woven, are pressed into a strong resin under high pressure. The result is a super strong, lightweight material. It is no coincidence that this type of carbon fibre is also very popular in the construction of sports cars and racing cars, as well as in the aerospace industry.
