The Shinobi- a knife with design elements as old as the Samurai. It's clear the Shinobi takes inspiration from ancient Japanese culture, which really speaks to its timeless style. From the silhouette of the knife to the cutouts in the wooden handle, you can clearly see the Japanese roots.
Ultra-Light EDC Ready
What becomes immediately obvious in hand, is the ultra light, slim profile- this makes it very effective for EDC and a go-to pick when you want to carry light. Shinobi is the Japanese word for "ninja", very fitting for a light, enduring and swift blade. The included leather lanyard is a nice touch to provide quick access even if you have deeper pockets.
Tsukamaki-Inspired Grip
The Shinobi is extremely grippy, unusual for a knife of such slimline design, but this is not by accident- the handle has been meticulously carved on the edges and through the core of the wooden scales to give a superior grip, mirroring the traditional Tsukamaki (Handle Wrap) of a Japanese Katana, or Tanto. These wooden scales are secured in place via stainless torx screws, onto stainless liners combining a comfortable grip with exceptional control and lasting durability.
Lightning-Fast Blade
The most impressive feature of the Shinobi is it's optimized blade, tailored to speed and performance. It rapidly deploys with the flipper tab on precision caged ball bearings. Made from Tool Steel, the D2 straight back blade has a razor sharp edge from our workshop with excellent corrosion resistance, edge retention and toughness.
Delivered in a Premium Duncans gift box, the Shinobi comes with care instructions and a cleaning cloth ensuring your blade stays pristine.
