Blade made of CPM S30V steel

The blade of this Benchmade Blue Class, Nature Colors, Mini Bugout is made of CPM S30V steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S30V retains its sharpness well and is very corrosion resistant. Moreover, with the right tools, it is also easy to sharpen yourself.

This blade is finished with a Cerakote coating. This is a popular coating also used for engine parts, for example. It is a very ‘tough’ coating. It has good impact resistance. Traces of use are therefore less likely to show up. However, it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.
