 Description:
In the competitive landscape of mid-range rifle scopes, the Duncans ProView 3-9x42 AO IR with Lockable Turrets emerges as an outstanding option in the ProView series, delivering exceptional quality and performance at an unbeatable price point.

While not reaching the mountainous heights of the EliteView line, this scope punches well above its weight, incorporating advanced features typically found in higher-end models. Designed by innovator Mr. Alistair Cromwell, it utilizes the proprietary Cromwell XX optical system with fully multi-coated lenses in 12 layers, providing sharp, bright imagery that far surpasses rivals like the Hawke Vantage IR 3-9x40 AO and Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40. Unlike those competitors, which often skimp on illumination options or turret reliability, the ProView offers adjustable objective (AO) parallax from 10 yards to infinity, dual red/green illuminated etched Mil-Dot reticle, and lockable turrets with zero stop—making it a smarter, more versatile choice for hunters, plinkers, and target shooters seeking premium features without the premium cost.

Visionary Design by Mr. Alistair Cromwell
Under the expert guidance of Mr. Alistair Cromwell, a leading figure in affordable high-performance gear, the ProView 3-9x42 integrates the Cromwell XX system for superior light transmission and reduced glare, outperforming budget alternatives like the Barska Contour 3-9x42 IR or Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 in color accuracy and low-light clarity.

Cromwell's focus on value-driven engineering ensures this second focal plane (SFP) scope maintains a clean, uncluttered view, with an etched Mil-Dot reticle that holds zero better than printed versions in entry-level scopes such as the NcSTAR Mark III 3-9x40. At just 601 grams and 31.40 cm in length, it's lightweight and compact, ideal for rimfire rifles or lightweight builds where heavier options like the Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x33 EFR might feel cumbersome.

Versatile Magnification and Intuitive Controls
The 3-9x magnification range strikes a perfect balance for close to mid-range applications, offering a wide 13.47-40.40 feet field of view at 100 yards—wider than the narrower FOV in the Truglo Eminus 3-9x42. This makes it excellent for quick target acquisition in wooded hunts or varmint control, with an objective lens of 42mm gathering ample light for dawn-to-dusk use.

Adjustments are user-friendly via the knurled Posi-Grip power selector for smooth, glove-compatible operation, and the fast-focus ocular ensures rapid eye relief adjustment from 4.44-12mm, providing a more forgiving eye box than the fixed setups in budget models like the Visionking 3-9x42.

Unmatched Precision and Adjustability
When it comes to scopes, precision is key, and the ProView's lockable turrets with zero stop deliver reliable 1/4 MOA clicks up to 60 MOA for both elevation and windage—more generous than the limited adjustments in scopes like the Hawke Vantage 3-9x50 AO. These turrets lock securely to prevent accidental shifts, a feature often missing in competitors such as the Bushnell Engage 3-9x40, ensuring consistent accuracy shot after shot.

The adjustable objective (AO) parallax tuning from 10 yards to infinity eliminates distortion at varying distances, giving it an edge over fixed-parallax models in the Delta Optical Titanium series for close-range plinking.Supreme Durability with Advanced ProtectionBuilt to endure real-world abuse, the ProView is waterproof, shockproof, fogproof, and nitrogen-purged, with a robust 30mm tube that handles recoil from airguns to centerfire rifles better than flimsier 1-inch tubes in the NcSTAR or Barska lines. Its fully multi-coated lenses (12 layers) provide superior scratch resistance and light transmission, maintaining clarity in adverse weather where cheaper coatings on the Vortex Crossfire II might fog or degrade. This rugged construction ensures longevity, making it a value-packed alternative to pricier scopes like the Leupold VX-Freedom without sacrificing reliability.

Super Bright Illuminated Reticle System
The dual red/green illuminated etched Mil-Dot reticle enhances visibility in low-light conditions, with adjustable brightness levels that outshine the single-color or non-illuminated options in basic models like the Bushnell Banner. In SFP configuration, the reticle remains subtle at low power for fast aiming, scaling intuitively as magnification increases—unlike the overwhelming reticles in some Truglo Tactical scopes. With an exit pupil of 8.50-9.50mm, it offers bright, comfortable viewing, ensuring quick target lock-on even in shaded environments.

Specialized Features for Everyday Excellence
Tailored for practical use, the ProView includes fast-focus ocular for personalized diopter adjustment and a generous eye relief that accommodates various shooting positions, surpassing the limited relief in compact scopes like the Barska Contour. Its Mil-Dot reticle supports precise holdovers for windage and elevation, making it suitable for field target shooting or small game hunting where competitors like the Hawke Vantage might require additional accessories for similar functionality.

Included Mounts and Essential Accessories
Enhancing its out-of-the-box value, the ProView comes with 30mm standard rings, precision-machined for secure mounting on most rifles—unlike many scopes such as the Visionking or NcSTAR that sell mounts separately. This inclusion saves time and money, providing a stable platform that maintains zero under vibration, rivaling the bundled options in higher-priced Truglo Eminus models.

Packaging and Complete Kit
The ProView arrives in a sturdy, protective box with all essentials: a user manual, lens cloth, and battery for the IR system—ready for immediate setup. This comprehensive kit underscores Duncans' commitment to value, offering more than the minimal packaging of budget rivals like the Barska or Bushnell, ensuring you get professional-grade performance without hidden costs.
