The Reximex Daystar Pretensis Orange Laminate Non-Regulated is the unregulated variant of the pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air rifle from Reximex in Turkey.

Marketed as the Pretensis in the UK and Europe, and Daystar in the US, this model lacks the built-in pressure regulator found in the regulated version, which means shot velocity and power can vary more as cylinder pressure decreases, typically providing a shorter string of consistent shots. It's suited for target shooting, plinking, pest control, and small-game hunting, with similar build quality and aesthetics but at a potentially lower price point (often £100 less in the UK, or equivalent savings elsewhere).

Compared to the regulated model, the lack of a regulator results in a "sweet spot" for peak performance (typically around 180-190 bar), after which power and consistency drop off more noticeably.

Design and Build

The orange laminated stock features the same ergonomic sporter profile as the regulated version, with circular stippling for grip, an adjustable cheekpiece for customized fit, and options for synthetic or laminated alternatives.
