Scope Features

Though designed to be compact, the MTC Mamba Lite 3-12×42 scope is based around a 25mm, aircraft grade aluminium tube. This is a zoom telescopic sight with a variable magnification range of 3x power to 12x power. At 42mm, its objective lens is slightly larger than common or garden tellies. The objective lens has also been multi-coated. This ensures the target image is super-bright, even in low-light conditions and when the scope is zoomed to full power.

This Mamba Lite model features MTC’s own SCB2 multi-aimpoint reticle. This provides plenty of aiming points to counter trajectory and windage deviation, without obscuring the target. The SCB2 crosshair is set in the second focal plane (SFP), which can also help with range-finding when using the bracketing system.

 

IR Illuminated Reticle

The MTC Mamba Lite 3-12×42 Scope comes with an illuminated reticle (IR). Operated by a side dial, the centre of the reticle lights up in red. Also, besides on and off (black), the brightness of the illumination can also be controlled. So not only can you keep shooting long after the sun has dipped below the horizon, you can even choose the best reticle brightness for the target’s background!

 

Adjustment Turrets

The scope also features precise click-stop elevation and windage adjustment turrets. These adjust in MOA. 1 click = 1/4″ at 100yds. You can turn the turrets by hand and reset the verniers to ‘0’. Both turrets are protected under low-profile, screw-off covers.

 

Sidewheel Parallax

Parallax error is a major cause of inaccuracy. MTC’s Mamba Lite series of scopes feature a sidewheel that lets you easily dial out this error. On higher magnifications, parallax adjustment can also help you range-find. Once you have brought the target into sharp focus, simply read off the range from the P/A sidewheel. Easy!

The Mamba Lite’s parallax adjusts from infinity down to just 10 yards. This is particularly useful for airgunners, who often shoot at close range. To set the primary focus, this scope features a quick-turn eyepiece with dioptre adjustment. This is useful for shooters who wear spectacles.

 

Lens Covers

The MTC Mamba Lite 3-12×42 Scope comes complete with a set of magnetic flip-up lens covers. Additionally, the eyepiece cover features a 2x magnifying lens. This lets you easily read the parallax and turret verniers.
