Description:
The Böker Plus Messerschmitt ME 109 is a cool pocket knife of which the damascus blade contains parts of a real Messerschmitt ME 109. The airplane used was shot down over England in 1940. The steel from the pilot's seat and parts of the propellor were supplemented with other steel and forged into a damascus steel with an amazing look and feel by master blacksmith Chad Nichols. The folds on the tip of the blade are also an homage to the ME 109, they namely refer to the cut-outs in the tip of the airplane that held the rifles.
There are two ways to open the Böker Messerschmitt ME 109. With the flipper, which represent the folding wheels of the Messerschmitt. Or via the thumb holes, which are shaped like the cockpit of the plane. Very cool! Because of the ball bearings the knife will open quickly. The handle is made from carbon fibre, with a 'Toxic Storm' colour. The colours and the patterns are similar to the camouflage colours used for the original ME 109 plane. The lockside is made from one solid piece of titanium with a steel lockbar insert.
A stunning piece of history and also an amazing pocket knife. The Böker Plus Messerschmitt ME 109 will be the perfect addition to any knife or history collection!
