Description:
The CRKT Kith is an elegant EDC pocket knife, designed by Ken Steigerwalt. The name 'Kith' comes from an Old English word meaning 'friend'. So it seems like money really can buy you friends!
The blade is made from tough and easy to sharpen 8Cr13MoV steel. You can open it one-handed with the double thumb stud. A solid front lock keeps it neatly open so your fingers are safe. At first glance this lock looks like an ordinary back lock, but what's special about this front lock is that it uses the liners themselves to spring the locking catch. Cutouts have been made that provide the necessary spring force for it to lock firmly.
The blade has a hollow grind. This means it's nice and thin behind the edge, so it cuts beautifully. Another advantage is that you can sharpen a hollow grind knife more often before it starts to get thick behind the edge. The handle is made from FRN. This is a strong type of plastic, reinforced with fibreglass. The subtle texture makes it comfortable to hold.
