Warranty Information

United Kingdom Warranty

Section 1a

 

All warranty (including International warranty) must be registered with Duncans Gunmakers Ltd via an email to warranty@duncansgunmakers.co.uk including the following: Full name and Address of original purchaser - a clear picture of: warranty card and receipt of purchase. The picture must be clearly visible, with all relevant information of both receipt and warranty card in a readable clarity.

Warranty Register

By emailing this information, you agree for Duncans Gunmakers Ltd to store your information on our Warranty Register.

Once you register your warranty via email, upon special checks in our system, you will be added to the warranty register, where all product and customer details will be held digitally, under private register with stringent security measures only accessible by password.

The relevant warranty card must be used, for our Duncans Swiss Horology Division Watch products you must present the watch warranty card.

Each product must be registered separately upon purchase with the relevant receipt and warranty card.

United Kingdom Warranty B

Section 1b

The warranty card and receipt of purchase must be included with the product to claim any warranty work. A full name and address of the original purchaser must also be provided, this must accurately match up with what is registered under our system.

The warranty periods and warranty services referred to on this page are intended as a guide only and variations may occur. If there are differences between the warranty card and information included with the product and the information shown on this page, Duncans Gunmakers Ltd will determine suitable solutions.

The warranty periods apply from the first date of purchase of the product. To obtain warranty service, the original proof of purchase will be required and the customer must be able to provide full name, address and picture of warranty card to commence works.

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship (Determined by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd). The warranty may not apply to consumable items included with or in the product such as batteries, which may have a reduced or no warranty period.

The warranty card and warranty information included with the product will state specific exclusions to the warranty (e.g. where a defect is caused by misuse or unauthorised repair of the product) which must be checked before requesting service under the warranty.

If there are any signs of aftermarket parts (not authorized by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd) or signs of work applied to the product that is not recorded in our system, the warranty period will instantly become void.

Knives with PermaSharp

Section 2a

 

Please note that knives are specifically designed as a cutting tool. Knives should not be used as anything other as a cutting tool, such as a screwdriver, pry bar or anything other type of tool. If the knife has been used as anything other than a cutting tool (Determined by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd), then the PermaSharp service, and any current warranty will become void.

PermaSharp is a service offered exclusively by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd and will include a full resharpen of your knife (Only available for products listed with PermaSharp)

Not Covered by PermaSharp:

If your knife has any of the following, it will no longer qualify for sharpening or "restoration":

• The tip has snapped off the end of the knife
• The knife has been oversharpened to create an angle of over 40° (degrees)
• Major damage to the edge such as chips or cracks in the steel
• Damage to the heat treatment
• Reprofiling of the blade shape or edge

 

Duncans Swiss Horology Division (Watches)

Section 2b

 

All of our Duncans Manufacture Swiss watches are covered under our 5 year warranty, this counts for within the United Kingdom, and outside of the United Kingdom (see section 3a). The relevant Swiss Horology Division card MUST be presented either in store or via picture by email to: warranty@duncansgunmakers.co.uk

To be valid for your 5 year warranty you must provide your (original purchaser) full name, address, have proof of purchase (receipt) and present the warranty card.

Warranty work includes replacing faulty parts (Determined by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd) and undertaking repairs for defective parts.

If there are any signs of aftermarket parts (not authorized by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd) or signs of work applied to the watch that is not recorded in our system, the warranty period will instantly become void.

 

International Warranty

Section 3a

 

Products that are NOT listed in the Duncans Manufacture Category, will not be available for any warranty.

In relation to Duncans Manufactured Product only, Duncans offers a limited international warranty as set out below.

The international warranty is applicable to purchases made in countries outside of the following: United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Hungary, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Croatia and Iceland.

In the event that warranty service is required on your Duncans Manufacture product and you are located outside of the country where you purchased the Duncans Manufacture product at the time of your request for service under warranty, a local Duncans Approved Dealer (if available) in your location may be able to provide you with warranty service - Currently Unavailable

International Warranty B

Section 3b

Any warranty services rendered shall be in a manner consistent with the terms and conditions of the warranty scheme of the country where you originally purchased the Duncans Manufacture product. Warranty services performed, if made available, may take longer than if performed in the country of purchase. The customer shall be responsible for settling all customs fees associated with the transport, and the cost of delivery to the relevant Duncans Approved Dealer (if available). Duncans will pay return transport fees only. The method of shipment of the Duncans Manufacture product shall be at Duncans Gunmakers Ltd's discretion. Liability for goods in transit shall be with the shipping party.

The International Warranty Service period is 5 years (60 months) for Duncans Swiss Horology Division products from the date of purchase, and 1 Year (12 months) for all other products from the date of purchase. Assuming the warranty has been registered within it's period from purchase date- If a customer does not have a document evidencing proof of purchase (Receipt), and can not present the warranty card associated with the product, along with full name and address of the original purchaser, the local Duncans Approved Dealer entity may (at its sole discretion) not carry out any warranty work as the warranty is only valid with proof of purchase (receipt), warranty card, and full name and address of the original purchaser.

The International Warranty provides for only the repair of your product, it does not cover the provision of a new replacement product (in exchange), new batteries, aftermarket parts or a refund of any money you have paid for the product unless approved suitable by Duncans Gunmakers Ltd. Refunds are only available in the country where you have purchased the product. Refunds are only availble within 30 days of Purchase, along with proof of purchase (receipt), return of product in its original condition and all original packaging that the product was shipped with.
