Description:
The MKM Fara is a modern slipjoint, designed by Lucas Burnley. The Fara offers you an elegant combination between classic features such as the familiar slipjoint, but is, at the same time, complemented by a top-quality finish and sleek, modern lines.
Designer Burnley gave the blade a clippoint-like shape. On the presentation side the blade has been enhanced with a large groove that offers you enough traction to neatly open the knife with two hands. The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. This is an extremely wear resistant type of steel that retains its sharpness well. It is also very stainless. One of the most popular choices at the moment. When opened a slipjoint will neatly keep it open. And yet you can still easily close it: it merely offers resistance, it doesn't lock the blade. As such you can legally carry it with you almost anywhere.
The handle of this version is made from stunning canvas micarta. Offers enough grip and is really strong. Because micarta is slightly porous and absorbs the grease from your hands the handle will change colour in time. As such each knife will become unique in time.
The MKM Fara comes in a leather sheath with belt loop. The leather is nice and supple to make sure you can also carry the sheath as a slip sheath in your pocket.
Where do MKM Knives come from?
MKM is a cooperation between Viper, LionSteel, Fox and Mercury. Four masters working in the Italian knife industry. It is no coincidence that they all come from the city: Maniago, northern Italy. The knife capital of Southern Europe. MKM stands for Maniago Knife Makers.
