Matte Black Anodizing

The product stand and main components of the TSPROF K4 sharpening system are made of aviation-grade aluminum with a matte black anodized finish. This is not just for aesthetics but a technological solution that enhances the durability of the sharpener. The coating protects the metal from corrosion and minor mechanical damage, does not fade over time, and is resistant to environmental influences. The tactilely pleasant matte surface requires no special care, maintaining the impeccable appearance of your professional tool throughout its service life.

Turning mechanism

The scheme for fixing movable elements inside the unit has been completely redesigned. The new design provides greater rigidity in holding the horizontal position of the frame and allows only 0.1° of arm deflection at a force of 30N. 

A screw at the back of the turning mechanism allows you to adjust the force required to flip the clamping arm. 

The ability to fully lock the flip will be useful during the reprofiling of the knife when it is subjected to heavy loads and vibrations, as well as when sharpening particularly long blades, when additional protection against accidental flipping is needed.

Three-stage angle adjustment

The K4 rack and pinion height adjuster allows easy, fast, and precise setting of the sharpening angle. 

Locking of moving elements of the unit can be done with one hand and ensures reliable locking in the desired position. 

The new angle setting mechanism has three adjustment levels: 
- rough adjustment (accuracy up to 1°) with an extendable slider;
- fine adjustment (up to 0.1°) with a rack and pinion mechanism;
- ultra-fine adjustment (up to 0.01°) with the micro-adjustment unit.

The micro-adjustment unit allows you to change the angle with maximum precision, which is particularly useful for deburring and working with the finest abrasives.

The arrangement of the sharpening system parts allows you to set the sharpening angle in the range from 9° to 39.5° per side, for knives up to 430 mm in length.

Thickness compensator

The height adjuster is equipped with a removable stone thickness compensator. It provides a quick adjustment of the angle during stone change.

Abrasive holder

A brand new method of mounting the stroke limiters and the coupling on the rod provides increased mounting security and ensures immobility of the elements during operation.

Instead of point locking with a screw, the mechanism now uses surface locking through cylindrical sleeves with holes. This reduces the force required to secure the elements and eliminates the possibility of the rod surface damage.

The front abrasive stop provides convenient abrasive mounting. It features a spring-loaded ball screw, which prevents free rotation of the stop on the rod and ensures smooth running.

The hinge unit incorporates a stainless steel-brass sliding pair for smooth rod travel during use.

Rod parking

The K4 carries over the stroke limiter and L-shaped piece from the K03, while introducing an upgraded parking system. With subtle refinements to the kinematic scheme, it delivers greater ease of use.

New detachable Axicube Shift

Now Axicube Shift sits on the far abrasive stop. It can be quickly and easily removed to reduce abrasive weight during sharpening and for easy charging away from the sharpening system. Far and close abrasive stops' positions are interchangeable.

The new mounting, featuring a special rail in combination with a locking screw and a magnet, provides an easy and secure attachment of the angle finder for accurate measurement of the sharpening angle. Axicube-i can be charged via USB Type-C cable.

Quick clamps

The Quick clamps securely hold knives up to 7 mm thick. They provide a fast and tool-free usage and a 300 N clamping force. Designed with finite element analysis, the clamps' structure evenly distributes stress for uniform jaw closure.

Removable clamping arm

Fancy a microscope edge inspection? The new removable design of the clamping arm will become your favorite feature of the K4. No need to take the knife out of the clamps or try and repeat its position and set the same sharpening angle anymore.

Rigid body and stable base

The fresh design of the leg enhances the portability of the sharpener and allows you to carry it easily with one hand. It attaches to the milled base with three rigid quick-release screws. Thanks to its shape, weight, and wide, slim shock absorbers, the system remains stable during sharpening.

Diamond abrasives included

Diamond-coated plates provide intensive metal removal and can be used for a cutting edge with significant damage (chips, bends, etc.).  Use dry, without water or oil.

Includes the following grit range:
— F150 Extra Coarse - for profiling, and shaping the edge.
— F220 Coarse - reducing sharpening scratches.
— F400 Medium - reducing sharpening scratches, biting edge.
— F600 Fine - pre-finishing, biting edge.
— F1000 Very Fine - finishing, deburring, gives mirror polish for some steels.
